Q: What species of fish will we be fishing for?

A: Lake Ontario is noted for its abundant populations of Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Steelhead, Coho, Walleye, & Black Bass (both largemouth and smallmouth).

Q: How far in advance should we book our trip?

A: It's best to book your trip as early as you can. Slots fill up quickly as fishing season appproaches. Available dates become fewer and further between. A $150 deposit is required and will assure your spot on the calander. This deposit will be refunded within 30 days prior to trip, or due to bad weather.

What gear do we need to bring?

We provide all of the equipment, including the rods, reels and tackle. You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear, if desired. We do ask that you bring appropriate clothing, including rain gear (just in case), soft sole shoes, sun glasses, a hat, your camera, and a valid NYS fishing license. We ask that if you bring food and drink, please pack them in unbreakable containers. You can leave the rest to us.

Can we keep our fish that we catch?

Yes of course. If your fish are legal according to NY State fishing regulations, you can keep your catch. We can also recommend a great taxidermist in the area who will skillfully preserve your fish.

Can we bring alcohol?

Yes, but only to be consumed by adults over 21 years of age. Please drink responsibly and understand that consumption may limit the activities we will allow you to do on our charters.

Can we bring marijuana or any other controlled substance?

NO - Pot is still a controlled substance in the State of New York. If we discover one of our clients is carrying, we have no choice but to terminate the charter and we will charge in full. Please don't put one of our captains in this situation, they can lose their licenses for it.

Do you guarantee that we will catch fish?

We can guarantee fishing but not catching. The captain will do everything in his power to put you where the fish are. We cannot control what does or does not bite the hook. Rest assured, we will move to various locations that have proven to be successful in the past should the fishing be slow. We also change tackle / lures frequently.

What happens when everyone catches their limits?

If everyone catches limits of the fish we’re targeting for the day, we will simply pull up and start fishing for something else. For example, if the boat limits out on Salmon, we might go to another location and fish for Walleye. In any event, we do not simply end the trip early.
